Stand Up For Me works with people living with disabilities to improve independence and quality of life. We focus on practical needs, useful technology, and connecting people with resources that fit their individual goals.
Assistive technology
Through donations and community support, we help provide assistive technology that can expand opportunities for work, education, communication, recreation, and participation in everyday life.
These tools can help people interact with computers, family and friends, and their environment in ways that may otherwise be difficult or impossible.
QuadStick and adaptive computer access
The QuadStick is one example of the technology we have helped provide. It allows people with significant upper-extremity limitations, including quadriplegia, to interact with computers, game systems, and other devices through a sip-and-puff and mouth-operated interface.
Resource navigation
Funding is only one piece of the problem. People often need help figuring out what technology, vendor, nonprofit, or other resource is appropriate for the challenge they are trying to solve. Stand Up For Me helps people work through those options and connect with the right resources when possible.
